Round Corner Brewing Cask 2023
Round Corner Brewing Back In Cask
Here at Round Corner Brewing we've always had a love for cask beer and at the end of 2022 we started brewing it again exclusively for a single supplier, Pivovar, which was received incredibly well by their customers.
With all this positive feedback, local venues asked us if we'd be brewing more cask beer and supplying it to local venues. We decided to act on this and as a result we've had 30 new venues, as well as Pivovar, sign up to pour our cask beer!
RCB Cask 2023
On venturing back into brewing cask beer, we produced our 2023 Cask Beer Calendar, which can be viewed above and here.
This outlines our plans for brewing one cask beer a month for the remainder of 2023, and we're super excited to share them with you.
May Beer
Cornerstone - 4.1% Pale Ale
This sessionable pale ale presents golden orange in colour, with tangerine, pine and stonefruit aromas from Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Amarillo used late in the whirlpool. These hops also deliver a bitterness which is well balanced by a slightly sweet, caramel malt character from crystal rye malt and a soft palate from wheat malt. Refreshing and drinkable.
June Beer
Market Pale - 4.2% Pale Ale
Pale golden from generous use of cara-gold malt which provides a pleasing caramel malt base. Citrus, pine, and gooseberry aromas from generous use of New Zealand hops also deliver a long bitter finish.
July Beer
Wranglers - 4.2% XPA
Wranglers XPA is a modern cask pale ale that’s extra hopped and extra bitter. Pale golden in colour, rich caramel malts form the bedrock to carry a powerful 42 IBU of bitterness. This is delivered by new world hops – from the USA - Simcoe, Citra & Mosaic and from NZ - Rakau. These also provide tropical fruit and apricot aromas. Delightful, bitter and moreish.
August Beer
Bell Hotel - 3.9% Session IPA
Pouring pale golden, citrus hop notes of lemon, lime and orange are predominant. Due to adding a cold whirlpool charge we crammed loads of citrusy hop oil into this beer, whilst keeping the bitterness restrained. Good balance from malt sweetness, finishing slightly dry.
