Round Corner Brewing is a proudly independent, modern brewery rooted in the 1,000-year-old Melton Mowbray Market. Founded in 2018, we’ve quickly become one of the UK’s most awarded breweries - winning multiple World’s Best and Gold Medals across the International Brewing Awards, World Beer Awards, and European Beer Challenge, while also being recognised as Leicestershire’s Best Bar at the National Pub & Bar Awards.
At the heart of our brewery is our Taproom, a vibrant community hub where the magic of Round Corner Brewing comes alive. As our Taproom Manager, your role will be to ensure every visitor has an exceptional experience and helping us grow this part of our business into something truly extraordinary.
What you’ll do
- Deliver a world-class taproom experience – Lead the FOH team to ensure high standards in service, cleanliness, atmosphere, and brand presentation.
- Team leadership – Recruit, onboard, roster, and develop our team, fostering a culture of warmth, knowledge, and customer connection.
- Staff training – Ensure your team are confident, beer-savvy, and proud ambassadors for our brand.
- Pizza kitchen management – Oversee staffing, ingredient ordering and quality for Round Corner Pizza, our in-house food offering.
- Events – Run and grow our programme of six+ events annually, managing operations, vendors, logistics, and on-site experience.
- Brewery tours – Deliver engaging, informative tours and train your team to do the same.
- Drive commercial performance – Own key financial KPIs covering venue sales, staffing efficiencies, and profitability.
- Webshop & fulfilment – Manage our online shop’s logistics to keep our beers flowing nationwide.
- Social media – Keep our taproom community connected and excited about what’s happening via our dedicated social channels.
- Build the Foundations for expansion – create a strong operating model that can be implemented in venues away from the brewery.
What you’ll bring
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a bar manager, team leader, or duty manager in a busy hospitality environment.
- A passion for craft beer and sharing it with others, whether you’re pouring a pint or leading a tasting.
- A customer-first mindset, with the drive to create consistently brilliant guest experiences.
- Solid understanding of health & safety, licensing, and operational standards.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, you’re calm under pressure and proactive when challenges arise.
- Strong leadership skills and a collaborative, positive attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that aligns with peak trading hours, including evenings and events as needed.
