RCB’s 1st Annual Beer, Cheese, and Pie Festival

Following a rather successful beer, cheese and pie tasting session hosted with the BBC Countryfile team in March, we've decided to bring the master makers of each of these iconic products together for one Saturday only to host an amazing ode to Melton Mowbray's finest produce.
Join Round Corner Brewing’s team, Richard Mayfield, the head cheese maker at Long Clawson Dairy and Guy Coombs, the Master Baker @ Samworth Brothers as they talk you through their beloved products and teach you the flavour profiles to look for and how they match (or don't) with our Uncommonly Good Beers.
We will serve 3 portions of pie and 3 portions of cheese accompanied by 4 beers including a lager, an ale, and an imperial, along with a scoring and matching sheet for the the geeks to take notes and the non-geeks to doodle on.
Guests will sit at shared tables to promote community and prompting you to share your conclusions and amazing palate with fellow guests. Each master producer will circulate around the guests to chat and provide insights and answer questions or observations or simply to shoot the breeze with you.
At the end of the session, which will take 90-120 mins, each master producer will choose one of our guests for each offering and crown them champion pie, cheese and beer taster. Criteria for choosing winners will be completely arbitrary but the winners, will walk away with a prize of a very special cheese, pie and beer respectively. So do come armed to chat to the masters.
We’ll have live music beforehand and afterwards to get and keep the joyous party atmosphere going.
